WhatsApp not working after installing WP 8.1 GDR1 DP

I installed Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1[GDR 1] today morning. Till last night my WhatsApp was working fine, After I updated to GDR1, it has stopped working. When I open WhatsApp, it just displays the default WhatsApp background and nothing else. It stays stagnant, rest the phone is working fine. :unhappy:

I use Nokia Lumia 720. Please Advise ASAP.

Well, whatsapp worked fine for me after I updated to GDR 1. You may try reinstalling it since I faced the same issue with twitter and messenger apps and those worked after I re-installed those.
