When am I going to get 8.1

I have a Nokia Lumia 929 with Verizon. I read that 8.1 was released to that phone around July 15, 2014. It's August 27th now and I still have 8.0. Do I have to do something to get it? When am I going to get it?

No there's nothing special to do in order to get 8.1 and Cyan. You just have to go to Settings, then phone update and then check for updates.

Do like the rest of us are used to when on Verizon....wait for updates....I also have a ICON/929, and been watching others get it but, we just wait...

This is nothing new for Verizon I have been with them for 20+ years and even back in the day with flip phones always waiting for updates and bug fixes when other carriers had the same phone and already was updated....

Yea but, Verizon is known for very slow updates....check with the Android guys, they will tell the same story...Only Apple does not suffer from this issue...

I'm on T-MoUS and not only was I tired of waiting for Cyan, I was tired of waiting for a decent WP phone offering (630 and 521 not cutting it). I had to break ranks and get a factory unlocked 1520.3 and give up WiFi Calling amongst other things. And if you've ever been on T-MoUS you know how handy that is with the failure of their signal to penetrate... At least I now have a great phone with Cyan.

But those on Vzw and AT&T at least have high-end Windows Phones to choose from. Only Sprint has it worse.
