When I send a message there is a delay, what do I do to fix this?

When I send a message there is a delay what do i do to fix this

When I send a text there is a delay from me pushing the send button and it actually sending. The send text button is grayed out and so is the attach file button and my phone freezes until the message actually sends and sometimes it freezes and then sends me back to the home screen without sending my message.

Are you on WiFi when this happens? If so, turn off WiFi when Texting. If not, what is your cellular signal like?

Sounds like a difficulty getting the text into the cellular data stream...
