When will Microsoft release those music focused Surface touch covers?

Remember that touch cover project years ago when Microsoft launched Surface Pro and the Pad Controller keyboard:

How great would it be to finally have a mobile music studio compatible with full desktop production software and mobile accessories? Groove Music Maker would make a lot more sense if this came to fruition, no?

Unfortunately, for Microsoft, many great things that are announced never seem to see the light of day, sadly.

Right. Like the Surface keyboard with the e-ink display strip that's basically the Mac touch bar now. Missed opportunities
