Don't currenlty have a Surface, but was currious. Does the Window RT use the same apps store as our Windows phones?

Windows 8 uses it's own MS Store. Windows Phone uses it's own MS Store as well. I like it this way. I hated when I had my iPad and I would install an app that was made for the iPhone. Just doesnt look right when you have a pad and then you messing around with an app that's small in display.

So it uses the same app store as my Windows 8 Pro laptop, except it only shows ARM compatable apps. Good to know when considering an RT tablet, thanks.

Yes, there's really no point to display an app that's made for Windows Pro on a RT device.

When developers develop an app for Windows 8, I believe their tools created two versions of their application at the same time. One for RT and one for Pro.

Yep. It doesn't show desktop x86 apps for the arm devices. Because they don't work there :)
