Seriously though, however aggressive MS's marketing against Apple is, statistics says very few Windows users go for a Mac, while almost no Mac users convert to Windows. Apple just doesn't build computers designed to have a majority market share worldwide. They just proved that with the (ridiculous) iPhone 6 pricing - now sure, phones have a huge market share, but were you to consider the whole world including developing regions, Apple could never gain a majority market share even with the iPhone. And no, the 5C didn't help that very much either

Moreover, Apple has made steps towards Windows (iCloud Drive on Windows) as well as Redmond making ones to work with Apple users (although the wait for the new Office is way too long
