Which GPS should I test

Hi,

I had a android phone. Since some days I have a Lumnia 950 XL.
Which GPS app can you recommend me for the beginning?

Thanks
Ernst

To begin with you the built-in Maps app is pretty good. It uses Here's mapping technology and is quite accurate. There are other options like Co-Pilot and Sygic and they get the job done.

I only have a few problems with the built in maps. I usually use them on may to work to watch traffic conditions. I don't want to "navigating" but just let the gps run. Unfortunately the maps follow you unless you are actively navigating to a location. The other complaint is with the navigating the top is WAY big. It hides a little over 1/8 of the screen keeping me from being able to see a bit farther on the map. The guidance is spot on though, traffic is awesome, and the lane assist is amazing. Just the two little problems keeping me from using it exclusively.

Waze, although outdated by a good 18mo, still works great. You can't use anything other than the generic voices though.

I had a lot of problems with gps on my XL. Atm I recommend the sygic universal app over the microsoft app but I need a little more testing...
