Which one you choose, upcoming intel's i9 BEAST or AMD Ryzen??

Hello all!
Yesterday, intel announced their i9 intel core processors having 18cores. Will it compete with AMD's Ryzen processor?

Are you interested in intel/amd processor?

I've been hearing about Intel's i9 CPUs for a few weeks now and I don't see much a reason to go past Intel's i7 processors as they are great for anything!

I feel like Intel and AMD are just seeing who can out-do who at this point with crazy amount of cores and threads, thus leading to a price tag of $1999.99 USD

To be honest, I would choose neither and keep my i7.
