The front camera on iPhone 5 is a 1.2MP camera with the ability to record 720p@30fps video, and on Nokia Lumia 920 is a 1.3MP camera with the ability to record 720p@30fps video. So you can see the specs are pretty similar. You might try looking for an actual video comparison to see them in action and which looks better to you.

I don't have a 920 but I believe they share the same front facing camera

no, 920 doesn't have sd slot, and if it have, I prefer internal sd :-D

I have an l920 and ip5 with the latter being my daily driver. WP is great but there's missing features with it that stops me from doing so ie saving videos from emails, disable rotation, a decent notification and etc. Apps wise with the exception of flipboard I'm just fine with the current selection.

I can aafford to have multiple phones in fact I also have an HTC one, z10, q10 and a nexus 4. I also have older phones such as note 1, iPhone 4s etc..

Lumia 920 front cam pictures tend to be "darker" but I like more the quality than iPhone 5 pics.

I have a 920 and an iPod touch 5th generation. I haven't used the iPod's front facing camera yet (have only had it since June), but I've used the 920's and it's not bad at all. I imaging the front facing camera of the iPod touch isn't that hot because I also have an iPhone 4 (not 5) and the front facing camera leaves much to be desired. The 920's front facing camera takes clearer pics, IMO.

the l920 takes better picture front or back and yes its significant.
