my phone keeps on restarting.. when in windows insider app

What phone do you have? That may help.

Is this your only phone? If so it's probably not a good idea to do it anyway.

Is it your only phone? There are many many issues with W10 TP. Are you sure you can deal with them?

agree, if that is your prumary device, dont try the technical preview, i revert back after 24hrs, sms is slow, phone is slow, apps is slow, toast notification quick reply sometimes not sending the message, my capacitive screen control keeps on freezing and needs to restart to get it right again, photos almost un usable, battery draining fast, and hey, my phone is not detecting sim card, and i did a hard reset, and lose all my phone apps, that update is one of the most regret i have ever done lol

Yes there are many issues, its called a technical preview(a really early stage of development) and not a developer preview(more stable)
Take it easy dude, it will come later on. As of now enjoy 8.1 first.

If you perform a hard reset on any phone, Windows, Android or iOS, the phone will reverted back to factory defaults (meaning to say all downloaded apps will be removed). So no surprise there.

No...GDR 2 is stable version of Win 8.1, that's why its "Win 8.1" GDR2.

Install the "Windows Insider" App on your phone
Select Fast Ring after that just follow instruction on screen.
After that phone will restart.

After restart....check for new update in settings.
Your phone should show GDR 2 is available.
Download GDR 2 and uninstall "Windows Insider App" as you are downloading
Then install GDR2.

Dude its not working. I did it and ended up getting Win 10 preview again. So I had to reset the phone again in order to avoid installing Win 10. I better stay away fro GDR 2 :grin:
