Why are certain forums archived but not others?

Just a general Windows Central question.

I noticed that the 521 forum is archived but not the 520. Why is that, and what is the general process for archiving a forum?

It's all done on an as-needed basis. From time to time we clean up the forum structure, and move forums that are perhaps less popular or for a previous-gen device into the archive.

When we do this it is generally done with the help of Daniel and/or the Mod Team Leader.

That said, if there's a forum you think has been moved in error, drop me a note and I'll take a look
