Why are parts of my contact list disappearing?

Losing parts of my contact list

i got a new nokia 625 today and parts of my contact list are disappearing.the weird thing is my lost contacts are moved to my wife's nokia 520.
I have re-entered the contacts three times to my phone and deleted them from my wife's phone but about an hour later the same thing happens.i will take it back to th Orange shop tomorrow but I would be interested if anybody has any ideas

Are you two sharing the same Microsoft Account name/login across both phones???
