Why aren't I getting notifications for Whatsapp, Twitter & Instagram?

No Notification for Whatsapp, Twitter & Instagram

Today I performed a Hard Reset and reinstalled the apps again... But I found most of the apps are not showing in "notifications+actions" as I wanted to turn off the sounds. such as Whatsapp, Twitter & Instagram. Moreover Whatsapp is not running in background because I can receive the messages only when I'm opening the app. I guess the same thing is happening to twitter and Instagram. I have checked Battery Saver and Data Sense too. Facebook and Messenger are working fine. But these 3 apps are giving trouble... What to do?

From what I understand you need to receive a notification first before the apps start showing up in your notifications+actions list. Did you try to switch the "running in background" on and off manually?
