Why aren't I getting notifications on my lock screen?

Messages not turning a locked screen on bug

Hello there!
I have a Lumia 535 Dual Sim, upgraded to Win 10 from 8.1 weeks ago when it was published. I haven't had any major problems until yesterday, when the phone stopped showing message notifications when the screen is locked. It does not even vibrate, even though it is set to do so. It was ok until yesterday, I didn't change anything, it seriously just happened on its own. I see notifications on a unlocked screen while using the phone, but not when I put it away. Is it a known bug, is there a solution? I mean other than a hard reset, which I'd like to avoid Thanks a lot!

check the notification settings to see if they have changed or something. If they haven't, toggle them on and off and see if that helps
