Windows Central Question
I created an event using the voice recognition in Cortana on my Lumia 930. Fine. Worked beautifully, but it didn't sync with my live.com calendar or Outlook so I created it again manually later. Then I wanted to delete the event Cortana created ... and I couldn't. I have restarted the handset, checked within the 'Reminders' section of Cortana's menu, and tried to delete it within the Calendar app. I still seem unable to remove this rogue event.
I contacted Microsoft support (or their hopeless UK representatives B2X with their slogan 'Chat with an expert', which is just a joke) and was first told to 'enable deletion of Cortana items within the Cortana menu'. There is no such option. Then they told me to delete it from live.com. It doesn't sync with live.com, which is how I came to create the second event. Finally I was told that the only way to remove the rogue 'Cortana events' would be to do a factory reset on my, which seems a little over the top.
There has to be a better way.
