Windows Central Question

I never use it, and I never will. Even though I disabled it, it's still always on in the background taking up a bunch of memory; I assume it's also accessing the internet taking up bandwidth as well and it's annoying. I try ending the task, then it just restarts itself like a cancerous tumor. Can you please give me an easy way to get rid of it/uninstall it completely? Also might as well let me get rid of the xbox app while you're at it... Please and Thank you.

you've followed this procedure?

  1. Open the Cortana search box in Windows 10.
  2. Click the Notebook icon.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click the toggle to disable Cortana.

Like I said, I have indeed disabled Cortana, and that's all your link says to do as well; but I look at my Task Manager and it still says Cortana is running in the background using up over 45mb of memory. I try ending the task but it just starts up again. I want this off my computer.

the other thing I can think of is to change the region to an unsupported region

I checked online, even though there is a way to remove some default apps, that method does not work for Cortana
