why can't i install new apps from store in my memory card directly ?

m using lumia 530. Even tough i placed a memory card in my phone i can't install any application directly in my memory card. Download don't start if i select "save to memory card" option when there is not sufficient space in phone memory.
i can't download more apps from store and believe me it's frustrating to delete some of my favourite games or application to install more new application.
plz help .... :-(

How full is your phone?

You do realise that the whole app does not get installed on the SD card right?

There are limitations to everything. You either have way too many apps or apps that are very large. You need to do some purging of things it would seem. If you have media in your phone apps it might be time to move them to cloud storage or somewhere else. Use Storage Sense and the Files app and move some things about.

That's the problem with L530... 4GB internal, you might have to purge or move some apps to SD, also stuff like WhatsApp & fb messenger refuse to move so, try to make some space with what is possible. Make sure to clear temp from time to time, get a little bit more breathing space
