Why can't I play videos on Windows 10?

Can"t play videos on Windows 10

Just upgraded to Windows 10. I can get the audio from the videos but not the video itself.

Are you playing videos stored on your computer or are you watching a video on youtube? What browser are you using, or what application are you using to view the video?

I get sound but no picture when I try to play a downloaded video with Windows 10. When I try to play a streaming one, it will not even load! I use google chrome.
