Why can't messages and settings be opened in Lumia 630?

Messages and settings cannot be opened in lumia 630

When i touch the messages tile it is not responding ,same situation is happening to settings in my lumia 630.

Have you tried restarting your phone, or performing a soft reset (press and hold the volume down button and the power button until your phone reboots)?
