Why can't my Lumia Denim make calls on FB?

Lumia Denim can not make calls on FB

i have service with ATT not verizon , on the FB messenger can not make calls

The Messenger app on Windows Phone 8.1 (associated with Denim) does not have calling functionality.

The Messenger Beta on Windows 10 Mobile may have it in the future.
