I like the fact that MS is trying to get a voice assistant integrated into the os BUT...
Why should I use a voice assistant that doesn't talk. Indigo greets me by name upon opening. Tells me about my day without me asking and gives me updates about my interests without me prompting her. And it is a free app. With all the resources at MS disposal how are they unable to get some of these fundamental items addressed?

Downloaded Indigo yesterday, it's a cool app and can't believe its free! It greets me every time I open it with different expressions Eg: Launching 1st time: Welcome TheBluesOne. Launching 2nd time: Welcome back TheBluesOne. Launching 3rd time: Good to see you again TheBluesOne. Its awesome and Im playing with it during my free time. Not sure about Cortana as I don't have 8.1 DP(waiting for the official release of 8.1). But one major drawback about Indigo is that it doesn't have live/animation tile. If it does, then it would be a BIG PLUS!

...and Indigo's been around for a year, if I remember correctly. I like all about Indigo but the robotic voice. Being greeted by that emotionless voice seems...dull to me. Though I mostly use Cortana, I still keep Indigo for reference. And oh, Indigo seems to have a crap load of jokes. Everytime I ask for a joke she returns with a new one. Too bad she doesn't sing :)

And I love how Indigo is integrated with Wolfram Alpha. Every question comes back with a spoken answer. I'll be overjoyed if Cortana is able to do the same in the future.
