Why do I need a Music Pass to play my music in Groove?

I uploaded all my music (legally acquired/self-ripped!) to OneDrive, but now that I want to play it from the groove app on Android, the app tells me that for some tracks I need a Music Pass.

I don't understand: why do I need a music pass for some files, and not for others? And why do I need a music pass for music I legally acquired anyway?

I don't need a pass on my Lumia 625 to play music from OneDrive in Groove.
You shouldn't need a pass (see below).
