Some people just don't have home internet access and choose to have the fully unlimited data plan for T-Mobile. So I ask why can this not be resolved for those who have unlimited data?

I don't know for sure, but I saw an unlimited data option in Data Sense, but I guess it doesnt affect those limits.

Its probably just default behavior considering those plans are increasingly going the way of the dodo.

Mostly because carriers requested such limit so that ppl like OP can't use the phone as its home internet access. If majority of ppl on T-Mobile use the unlimited data plan this way, T-Mobile network will be severely over congested.

I pay $80 a month for my unlimited data, its right up there with cable packages that combined the three services

It doesn't matter how much you pay. With wireless, every one on the same tower share the bandwidth that's limited and expensive to add more capacity.

I do not go nuts on my phone, rarely use streaming media mainly communication. I plan to get cable internet when I can afford the deposit
