Why does High Contrast mode turn off lockscreen backgrounds?

This mode gives me my favorite black/white tile look, but I would also like to be able to use Amazing Weather HD lockscreens in conjunction with it. Why is this not possible?

It is designed for people who have visual impairments to make the screen easier to read. The use of the Amazing Weather lockscreens would not help people who have visual impairments.

Lame... oh well, I can live without lockscreen backgrounds.

I would love a high contrast mode for the otherwise unimpaired, too, if it's not too hard to implement.

my phone got lock in high contrst mode.... and i cant log in.... i type the password and it stays still
