Why Does LinkedIn web alway prompt me to download the Android App?

When I am using an HP Elite x3 or Alcatel Idol 4S

Our good friends at Microsoft abandoned the LinkedIn app (even after buying it and owning their own phones)

Anyway to suppress this annoyance?
