Why does my computer get stuck on a black screen when I log in?

It will start up and go to the login screen, and as soon as I put my password in to my account, it either goes to a black screen, or will start up and not let me open anything. I have an Admin account open on the computer as well, and it lets me log on to that with out issues, but some times has problems opening chrome like it does with my personal account. What can I do to solve this?
