Why does my music show in my Files app, but not Music App?

Music shows in Files app, but not Music App

Lumia 640: MP3s show up in the music app, but .wav songs do not. They play just fine in the Files app. When I use WMP to transfer, it syncs to MP3 by default. Is there a way to play .wav files in the Music app? Does this issue exist on the Lumia 950? (looking into buying one)

Files tried:

[24/192] Sunday Morning (The Velvet Underground and Nico)
[24/96] abstraction (SYLLABUS)
[24/48] Stay Together (N.E.R.D.)

What OS is your 640 on? If it is Windows 10 mobile then since your music app can't play on the 640, it won't play on the 950.

You could try converting the WAV to mp3 if they aren't that many
