Why does my phone keep calling up Bing and Listening?

My phone keeps calling up Bing and Listening

It is as though the search is constantly being pushed, it is so bad the phone has become pretty much useless accept for answering inbound calls

Could be one of 2 problems. One is easily fixable, one is not.

If you have physical capacitive buttons, then the search button may not be functioning properly and the phone may need servicing. If it is under warranty, take advantage of that warranty.

If you do not have the physical capacitive buttons, but instead have the buttons that are part of the "display" of the phone (they only show while the phone screen is on), then that area of the screen may be dirty and in need of cleaning. Clean the phone display with a microfiber cloth and that should help with that issue.

That's the only issues I can think of that would cause the problem you describe.

Agreed. Didn't think of that, but if it is out of warranty, worth a try before paying money.
