Why does Windows 10 restart my computer each time I close the lid?

Every time I close my computer lid and then open it to use my computer, Windows says it "has found an issue and needs to restart." I have it set to hibernate when I close the lid, and so now every time I have to re-open tabs and documents. Is there a way to fix this?
