Why doesn't Microsoft allow me to log in using my Yahoo account?

Microsoft does not allow to log in using my yahoo account

since we changed to 8.1 i cannot updated.it takes me back to Microsoft account it says enter current password and tap save all the time and does not log in

That's strange - I could log into my Yahoo! account with no problems. But first, we need more details:

What device are you referring to? Windows 8.1 or Windows Phone 8.1?

Where does it not get saved? A particular e-mail app? The default e-mail client of Windows Phones? In your PC?
