Why doesn't my battery charge?

My battery doesn't charge

I found a Microsoft phone on the side of the road, not run over. I tried to turn it on and it didn't work. I took it home to charge so I could try to return it but it will not charge. I can plug it in and it buzzes, the battery symbol comes on with a plug icon over it blinks a few times and turns off. Any ideas or is it junk?

Given that you just found the phone, it technically is not "your" battery. Instead, you SHOULD return it to the nearest Microsoft or Nokia store, or a police station (or your local radio station) and inform them that you found it as you have said. I'm sure the Microsoft/Nokia store will know what to do with it to make it work again.
