Why doesn't my mail app have an archive function as described in some forums?

my mail app has no archive function as described in some forums

swiping options do not include 'archive'

You can set in options what action will the specific swipe do, but I also couldn't find the archive option.

However on Gmail, I have an option to archive instead of delete.
