Why don't word files open properly?

when i am trying to open word documents(resume) in my lumia 630, it is not opening clearly

Is the file .docx or .doc?

Is it password protected?

it is opening but not properly, open in zig zag

This is how the Word documents open on Windows Phone

Few open well.. Majority open like crap.

Unfortunately, the Word and Excel Apps are very sub-par on WP 8.1 . They are currently baked into the OS and Microsoft cannot update them unless they update the whole OS.

In Windows 10 they will be separate apps and have already been launched on the Windows 10 preview.

So until Windows 10 is released or until you install Windows 10 TP on your phone... hang tight!
