Why Gorilla Glass 2 not Gorilla Glass 3?

Is there any advantage of Gorilla Glass 2 over Gorilla Glass 3?
As from what I read, Lumia 1520 and Lumia 2520 both are using Gorilla Glass 2, while Lumia 1320 using Gorilla Glass 3 just like Lumia 1020.
