Why has my phone frozen and won't turn on?

My Phone Froze And Now It Won't Turn On

My phone froze, so I took the battery out and now it will turn on, get the the o2 logo, switch itself off and repeat that until I take the battery out again. What should I try?

Had same problem. Ms says to update to latest software. If it is not over soft reset. Lucky for my the first option was enough.
