A few months ago I noticed that majority of the apps on my lumia 520 keeps crashing (even Calendar and battery saver). I tried resetting but that didn't solve the issue. Then recently I could not connect to wifi. A message popped up saying "can't do this right now. Try again later or restart your phone) every time I tried connecting to wifi. Then I couldn't get a mobile data connection. Every time I tried turning on the data connection, nothing would happen. So I've reset my phone a couple times and the problem persisted. Just yesterday I got a notification saying there's a problem with the access point settings. Resetting and switching the phone on and off did not resolve the issue. My phone also does not read on the PC when I connect it with the USB. Does anyone know what the problem is or how I can solve these issues?

If the Phone Recovery Tool doesn't work you may need to change your 520 motherboard. *This will wipe out all data*

I've seen some cheap unlocked motherboards on Ebay ($15) and it takes less than 5 minutes disassemble/reassemble and back in to Windows.

You'll need the right screwdrivers that you can get and a spare digitizer (the only part of the screen that usually gets cracked) all for $5!

Highly recommended if you want to keep using your 520. Also, you should always use new screws about $3

You can also try carefully lifting the ribbons and cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol and letting it dry for an hour. When reseating the ribbons be very, very delicate while pushing them in!!
