why is data sense showing a large system usage

According to Data Sense my monthly data allowance goes over it's limit within days & the culprit appears to be the system.

Backups, updates, languages, keyboards.
Have you hard reset your device recently ?

No I have not. According to my Mobile Company I have not gone over my data allowance, but it is worrying that Data Sense seems to think I have. Would hate to get a huge bill if Data Sense is correct.
