why is edge not saving history

after browsing on edge then click on history nothing is displayed. why

Just a bug that has yet to be resolved (sigh). I have this same problem. Last build it started working as expected but the latest Windows Insider build History has stopped working yet again.

Have the partially-same issue here. Sometimes history saves, sometimes it doesn't. Haven't figured it out yet.

I'm liking Edge a lot and I've been using it as my primary browser for a while but it's clearly unfinished. Let's hope Threshold 2 brings some good improvements and a lot of bug fixes, optimizations, and performance improvements.

I use it on my 640, and it beats IE in every aspect, almost, i miss that copy/paste through tabs a lot.

To be honest I've not used it a lot in Mobile. I prefer the larger screen of my Lumia 830 so I haven't done a whole lot of browsing on my Insider device. At least not enough to make any sure judgements.
