Why is it taking o 15 hours (still going!) for Windows 10 to install on new HP laptop Intel Core i5?

Why would it take over 15 hours (and still running!!!!) for Windows 10 (from Windows 8) to install or download on my brand new HP laptop with Intel Core i5??? I also have Comcast high speed Internet service. I expected this to take less than an hour!! Any explanation, or is something wrong with my new computer?? I'm not very tech savvy! Please help. Thank you!!!!

Does it say it's downloading or installing? If it's downloading still, then it's an internet problem and you may want to restart your router.

If it's "installing" then something has probably gone wrong and you want to restart the installation process.
