Why is my battery draining so much faster than normal?

It used to last long but now last about 6 hours

Have you updated recently?
Have you installed an app that may be running in the background and doesn't need to?
Which device\phone\brand are we talking about here?
What firmware is currently running on your problem device?

It's a nokia lumia 928 everything is up to date and I don't have any background apps

Sounds like an errant app unless you have the developer preview installed.
Since your using a Verizon phone I'm thinking your still on WP 8.0 correct?

1. Battery is faulty.
2. A new app, or an update to an App

Check your install/update history.

It's only running 8.0and I'm gonna do a hard reset and see if that fixes it
