Battery Issues with my Nokia Icon - Please Help
I had a new, out-of-the-box Nokia Icon that I got back in May with my contract upgrade, and the battery on it would easily last all day even with heavy use - I would unplug it when I left for school in the morning, be away from home from about 7am to 9-10pm, use it to stream movies at the gym, etc., and never had a problem nor ever needed to bring my charger with me anywhere. I had my email settings to as-they-arrive, had the brightness settings on auto, and kept wi-fi and location on, still got a good 20 hours out of it most of the time.
I dropped it, and it shattered, and I bought a used one off of Blinq. It is in very good condition...fewer scuffs and scratches than my old one, in fact...but the battery on it dies SO quickly. Even fresh off of the charger with full battery life, battery saver is saying I only have 10 hours of battery life - and that drops significantly if I do anything with it. What can I do about this and why is this one draining so much faster than my old one? At most, it could only be about 3 months older than the one I had. I am still on 8.0, so it isn't the 8.1 issue. I really want full functionality on this thing like I had on my old one and don't want to be tethered to an outlet all the time, do I have any options other than spending $500 on yet ANOTHER phone? Why does this battery get so much less life than the old one and is replacing the battery (not myself, obviously) even a cost-effective option?
