Why is my battery life draining so fast?

My phone can hardly last for half a day. Why is that?

Half a day doing what? I can burn through my 1520s battery in half a day if I never put it down but under my normal usage it lasts about 2-3 days. Without details it is impossible to say...

I am using Nokia 520, win 8. I bought it last year.

Nothing special. Just chatting with other. Even I do nothing, it can only last for one day.

My 630 lasts 5 hours on wifi, low brightness, when using we chat and whatsapp continuously, without a break. But standby time, i get 4 days.
