Windows Central Question
My Nokia Lumia 630 is booting to a blank screen
When I press the power button (after soft reset) on my lumia 630 I can feel it vibrate in response. Also, when I plug it into the charger or to my laptop, the backlight turns on. When I remove the connector the backlight stays on and responds to quick presses of the power button turning on and off. Also while the backlight is on, if I press the bottom of the screen where the navigation keys are supposed to be it vibrates in response.
I have reinstalled the software successfully using the Windows Phone recovery tool and still blank screen. I have tried hard reset, but since the screen is blank, I cant see the exclamation mark (although I think I was able to hard reset it somehow). My Windows 10 laptop can detect it and can even transfer files to it through the Phone Companion App. I just want to confirm if this is a hardware problem before I take it to the repair shop. (Most mobile service centers in my country are not that familiar with repairing lumia phones.)
