Why is my sd card full of apps and games

Hi, a question, I'm running windows 10, no probs, but I have a 32GB sd card and from time to time it gets out of space when I check all of it is taken by games and apps, even though I never download apps or play games, I tested the card on a pc and is a genuine 32gb, when I put the card on a computer the mentioned apps and games are hidden files, is any way I can stop that issue? I have ticked up to download everything to the phone memory, but still the issue continues, thank you.

You can try formatting your SD card in the phone.

I have formatted the card a few times using my phone, on a pc and also on a Mac, on windows 8.1 never had this issue only on windows 10.
