WPCentral Question
I've had windows 10 for a while now, upgraded from windows 8. Today the only change I made from when I last used it successfully (less than 24 hours ago) was switching from a HDMI output cable to a VGA cable. After entering my Bios password as usual I was greeted by what looks like the the Windows 10 installation screen. It says updating windows but the time it's taking and the familiarity to when I updated to Windows 10 in the first place is concerning...
*Note it isn't the standard blue screen with a percentage saying installing windows updates.
*It is however the black screen with a giant circle with a percentage in it.
I don't think I'm irrationally concerned either as my laptop is Windows 10 and it updated recently with the blue screen described above.
I don't have time to wait for the install and the possibility of having to resetting my settings and such that comes with a new OS. My main worry is whether I can just interrupt it by turning off at the power button, but common sense says don't do that.
