Why is my Windows phone 8.1 unable to connect to Windows 10 laptop via Bluetooth?

Windows phone 8.1 unable to connect to Windows 10 laptop via Bluetooth, please help

Bluetooth is turned on, on both devices, both see each other, but when trying to connect nothing happens.

Can you please make a Windows Central account to let us know what phone you have and give more information.

Right, account is made. Using a Nokia Lumia 930 running WP 8.1 and Acer Aspire 5951G running Win 10. Used to be able to connect easily when I had Win 8 on my pc, especially Ofice Remote. When I select my PC name under available devices in the bluetooth menu on my phone it says that I have to make sure a numeral code is the same as displayed on my PC, but there is no such notification on my PC
