Why is the maximum volume on my headphones so low with my Nokia 1020?

Windows Central Question

Tried all sound choices in settings and got different sounds but no volume boost.
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
1) What headphones are you using?

2) Check if headphones are faulty on something else i.e Laptop, speaker, Hi-Fi system

3) Check jack is faulty with other pair of headphones tested (as above) and thus verified to be working correctly.
