Why is there a red light at the top left of my Microsoft lumia 950xl?

I was watching YouTube on my phone and it just shut off and a red light appeared at the top left and my phone wont turn on. What does it mean?

could be because of low battery , connect the phone to a charger and wait for phone to reboot normally.

The red light is for windows hello, sometimes mine will lock itself with that and won't show anything on the screen so I have to somehow unlock it by looking at it for windows hello
