Why isn't my home button not working and my phone not turning on?

Hi the home button on my nokia lumia 800 stopped working suddenly out of no where so i used the camera button to turn it on for a couple of weeks. Then while i was on my phone, i was listening to music while messaging and it froze. At this point i knew pressing the home button and volume down button was useless as the home button was not working. I put it on charge for atleast an hour to see if it would turn on but it didn't. I also tried pressing the camera and volume button as they are the only buttons that work on my phone but still it came to no use. Please help ASAP as i am very upset by this because it has all my personal things on the phone.

A soft reset may help getting the phone get restarted...

power + volume down for 10-15 seconds.

Try connecting your pone to PC and using Windows Phone recovery Tool. There is a post on the main page abou how to roll back to Windows 8.1 I had a similar problem so if you find a solution please tell
