why isn't mail on home page?

I open windows edge and NO MAIL! What genius thought this up?

You can change the start page to whatever you'd like it to be in the settings. Pretty nice feature. It's not an oversight, it gives you the freedom to set what you want to see when you open a browser.

Assuming you're on a PC. Open up Edge -> Click on the three dots in the top right part of the screen -> settings -> open with

Why would you want it to go to mail for the browser you have apps for email
